Born to a musical family, Shahid Mallya began his training in music when he was only seven. In 2002, he moved to Mumbai from Sri Ganganagar to pursue a career in Bollywood.

He started out singing for TV serials and made his debut in film with the song ‘Gurbani’ from Yamla Pagla Deewana. However, his break in Bollywood came with Pankaj Kapur’s directorial venture ‘Mausam’, which gave him music credits to two super hit songs ‘Rabba’ and ‘Ik Tu Hi Tu Hi’ composed by Pritam.

‘Nachda’, Shahid Mallya’s latest blockbuster song from political-thriller Phantom is another Pritam composition. His biggest Bollywood hits include ‘Iski Uski’ from 2 States, ‘Kukkad’ from Student of the Year and ‘Saaiyaan’ from Gunday, Ikk Kudi and Chitta Ve from the hit Film Udta Punjab,dhisoom title track,happy oye from happy bhag jayegi,radha from jab harry met sejal ,khoya khoya from chef and bura na maano bholi hai from fukrey returns. With many more songs recorded and to be released soon he is one of the most sought after Playback singer in the industry today.
